WORLD RHYTHMS SERIES:
The Residencies

Building on the World Rhythms Series (presented since 2003 in conjuction with Cityfolk), the University now coordinates an annual Artist-in-Residence program to take advantage of the exceptional artists who perform on campus. The results have been transformative for students, faculty and the Dayton community. With the support of UD's Center for International Programs and ArtStreet, these residencies have coordinated classroom visits and discussions, community receptions, faculty seminars, participatory demonstrations--all designed to develop a deeper understanding of the visiting artist's music and culture.
